Christmas Blessings, 2013

“I will honor Christmas in my heart, and try to keep it all the year.”– Charles Dickens

I’m taking a short break over the holidays but want to extend my greetings for a blessed  Christmas/Holiday season, however you celebrate it.

May you spend your days with the ones you love and never take one day for granted.

Our greatest gifts are our family and friends…

    1. Thanks, Lynne and the same to you and your family. I know you will have a ball with those precious “little ones. Looking forward to sharing our “dreams come true in 2014.” Hugs!

  1. Merry Christmas, Kathy! Sending hugs across the miles to you and the rest of the family.

Also a special thank you for all the suggestions re good reads throughout this past year. I’ve enjoyed visiting your writers’ table whenever I’m looking for something new to sample. So many satisfying discoveries resulted from your recommendations, but your blog also stands as a steady reminder of the power of resilience and determination.

It became obvious a long while back that you have met many, many spirited people through your shared passion. It shines through your blog. I may not have met them in person (except through their written words!), but I wish a special 2014 to all.

    Cousin Lisa

    1. Thanks Lisa. Wish we could gather together one of these years during the holidays. Gary is always mentioning you and Linda and wishing you could join us in Corning. I am so touched by your words about the blog and always enjoy having you join us “around the kitchen table”. 🙂 Like I keep saying, you have a way with words, like your Mom and Grandpa. Wishing you health and happiness in 2014.
      Love,
      Kathy

  2. Merry Christmas to you and your fine family.

Dickens is right and so are you: Our greatest gifts are family and friends.

Thank you so much for your gifts of tips and commentary these past few months. I am so fortunate to have such wonderful online author friends like you.

    1. Merry Christmas to you and your family as well, Marian. And I will echo your words right back to you. I am thrilled our paths have crossed and look forward to our continuing connection in the New Year. I feel very fortunate to have such wonderful friends such as yourself, too.Health, happiness and all good things in 2014!

  3. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and yours, Kathy. It’s been quite a wild ride in 2013, and now we prepare for what we hope will be a wonderful 2014. All the best for a wishes-come-true sort of year!

  4. Kathy, I imagine there is never a dull moment when you, your husband, your seven grandsons and your patient looking dog Max are all together. I love the sky, water, mountains and light house that comprise the background of your blog. I look forward to learning more about memoir writing from you in 2014. May you and yours have a blessed Christmas and joy in the New Year.

    1. You’ve got that right, Barbara! When we have them all over, the parents know they have to accompany them! Boys will be boys and as much as we love having them, we usually collapse when they leave . 🙂 I really appreciate your comments about the blog and I love welcoming you “around my kitchen table.” I look forward to all we have yet to learn from one another in 2014. The lighthouse is a perfect symbol for my message about the power of hope. So glad you like it. Wishing you and yours a blessed, joyful Christmas and New Year, too.

  5. Hello and Merry Christmas, Kathy. This year has been odd and rough in spots. I am glad that our paths crossed. And continue to cross. You are in my prayers. Happy writing!

    1. Thanks for the greetings and the prayers, Jan. I hear you on the “odd and rough spots” that is life. I guess that makes us appreciate the good times. I’m so happy we met too and I look forward to staying connected throughout the New Year. Prayers and happy writing right back at you. 🙂

  6. Have a wonderful Christmas, but I don’t think you can take a break from your social media. 🙂 Just kidding. Have fun with your 7 grandsons and your wonderful family. I am having 27 cousins and their children over for Christmas. Am I crazy? Not sure the food will be hot, but lots of fun!
