I am honored to be featured on Gabriela Pereira’s blog DIYMFA today in a guest post “How Practicing My Pitch Helped Me Write A Better Book.”
When I attended the Writer’s Digest Conference earlier this month in New York City, I wasn’t sure if I would be pitching my memoir. I decided at the last minute I would and here’s my story:

Hope you’ll stop by and leave a comment!
“Never let the fear of striking out get in your way.” Babe Ruth
This is great advice and a wonderful and well-deserved result. Congratulations.
I’m certainly going to follow your lead to pitch my novel at the first opportunity.
Thank you, Kathy. xo
Thanks, Madeline. It was enlightening and clarifying to approach pitching as a learning experience and to view the agents as people who want to help. By all means, pitch your novel as often as you can. With each pitch, you will learn something unique about your story. Best wishes and thanks so much for stopping by to comment!
Great article –again! I find every new article you write, is adding more excitement and I look forward to get that new inspiration each week. Thinking over the slam dunk you achieved is one of a kind and the one person who gives her all is you–Kathy my friend.
I wish you all the best. I don’t think I can do it.
It is always great to hear from you, Smita. Thank you for your ongoing support and cheers. I’m so happy you are enjoying the posts. My wish for you is that you will keep writing and getting your stories down. I know you can write. Blessings, Kathy
Great job, Kathy!
Thanks, Sue. Nice to see you again!
